Victoria has recorded five new local cases of coronavirus overnight.
The Victorian Government has announced the new numbers, which bring the cluster to 35.
It is not yet known if the cases are linked to previous cases.
There were over 56,000 tests done - a record number.
Another 21,626 vaccinations were given.
There
were two new cases in hotel quarantine, bringing the total number of
people with the virus to 45. One person is in hospital.
Officials are expected to hold a media conference later, as Melbourne begins the weekend in lockdown.
